Session IV. Parallel thematic sessions

I. Enhancing coordinated bilateral support for undertaking NAPs
NAP Global Network

The session aims to discuss and expound on existing bilateral support for the NAP process as well as available support instruments. It also aims to explore how countries can improve the matchmaking of support needs and available offers, and to determine how the NAP Global Network can enhance coordinated support. A best practice example on donor coordination for climate change will be showcased.

II. Civil society expectations on the national adaptation plan process
Southern Voices

This session will discuss the roles of civil society in the process to formulate and implement NAPs as well as showcase success stories of civil society engagement in national adaptation plans and programs.

III. Communicating NAPs to multiple stakeholders
Yale University

A discussion on how to leverage enhanced communications as a structural partner in the process to formulate and implement NAPs. Country experiences would help substantiate the discussion, particularly the discussion on how country specific communication strategies could support adaptation-planning efforts.
