Aimed at government representatives, development partners, and the wider multi-stakeholder audience that have a role in effective national adaptation planning processes, this session will discuss good practices for effectively linking integrated approaches for managing water resources in the context of the formulation and implementation of NAPs. With the NAP Water Supplement as a starting point, this session will explore challenges in adopting IWRM approaches, and present strategies to overcome these challenges through an inclusive and transformative approach at national and local levels via examples from Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador. Specifically, on financing IWRM approaches in NAP implementation, this session will present an example of the financing strategy for the Zambia cross-sectoral NAP and its Water NAP.
