Zena Grecni Zena Grecni

Zena Grecni is a candidate for Master of Environmental Management (2015) at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in the United States. Her program of study centers on climate change solutions, with a particular focus on small islands. Before coming to Yale, she worked at the University of Hawai‘i and the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she served as Communications Coordinator for the Pacific Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (Pacific RISA) program from 2012 to 2013. Ms. Grecni developed and implemented the communications strategy for Pacific RISA, a regional climate research partnership for the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. At Yale, she has served as Research Assistant at the Yale Project on Climate Change Communications, managing social media and assisting research on public opinion of climate change. As Fellow for the Global Island Partnership, Ms. Grecni facilitated workshops and high-level events at the Third International Marine Protected Areas Conference in Marseille, France and the Third United Nations Conference on Small Island Developing States (UNSIDS) in Apia, Samoa. Her current research focuses on climate change adaptation finance and governance.
