The Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) has been providing support to the least developed countries (LDCs) in integrating gender, youth, private sectors and other multi-stakeholders considerations into the formulation and implementation of NAPs. This session is part of the activities of the LEG to provide technical guidance, support, and advice to the LDCs on multi-stakeholder engagement in NAPs.
Of the core guiding principles of the process to formulate and implement NAPs are participatory and multi-stakeholder engagement approaches, considering all actors and stakeholders including, inter alia, women, youth, civil society, the private sector, financial institutions, cities and other subnational authorities, local communities and indigenous peoples.
This session will showcase practical ways that promote the participation of multiple stakeholders in adaptation planning and implementation, highlighting best practices, challenges, and opportunities to enhance their meaningful participation.
