Earth observations can support practical adaptation solutions at the national and regional level, for instance by identifying where observation infrastructure exists, where it is lacking, and why and how data/information is needed to inform action and leverage opportunities to enhance its access and utility. Engagement with stakeholders to co-design and implement practical applications of data/information gathered via existing observation networks is critical to supporting action to address climate change impacts and prepare for adaptation. This session will present examples of ongoing work of the GEO community in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.
