The session will discuss ways to address data gaps in the LDCs through the NAP data initiative. The initiative provides navigation to readily available data and data platforms and goes further by enabling the direct integration of results of data analysis into documents. This capability to dynamically integrate results of analysis and updated re-analysis when new data becomes available into documents such as the NAP, facilitates the creation of “live documents” that are always up to date. The event will also discuss the NAP writing support to further engage the LDCs in taking advantage of the support in formulating and implementing their NAPs and thereby move towards successful adaptation. The NAP writing support engages the LDCs in hands-on work to produce project ideas in the form of project profiles that can be used to develop concept notes or proposals for submission to the GCF, the LDCF and the AF with the support of respective national authorities and delivery partners the countries would choose to work with.
