The process to formulate and implement NAPs (established in 2010) serves as a vehicle for adaptation planning and implementation at the national levels. The objectives of the NAPs are to reduce vulnerability to the impacts of climate change, by building adaptive capacity and resilience, and to facilitate the integration of climate change adaptation into development. It is driven by key principles that ensure a comprehensive, continuous and inclusive process. This session will give a quick overview and then focus on considerations of vulnerable communities, groups and ecosystems, followed by selected experiences and emerging best practices.
