Benon Yassin Benon Bibbu Yassin, a member of the LEG since 2012 is a Deputy Director of Environmental Affairs responsible for Environmental Planning, Monitoring and Research and Head of Biodiversity Division in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining of Malawi. He is attached to the Environment Affairs Department and coordinates implementation of Biodiversity Programmes at national level. Mr. Yassin also coordinates environmental planning and budgeting processes in the environmental sector in Malawi. He also participates in Centralized Reviews for Annex 1 National Inventory Reports under the UNFCCC and the Kyoto protocol. Mr. Yassin is also a Member of the High Level advisory Group on the Sixth Global Environment Outlook, a flagship report under the UN Environment. At national level, he coordinates preparation the National State of the Environment and Outlook Report.
