Mr. Mareer Mohamed Husny holds a Masters Degree of Environment from University of Melbourne and was employed by the Ministry since 2005. Mr. Mareer Mohamed Husny is currently employed as an Assistant Director at Climate Change Department of Ministry of Environment and Energy, Maldives.  Mr. Husny is specialized in the area of island coastal dynamics.

Mr. Husny is currently co-authoring coastal vulnerability needs assessment chapter of the Maldives Second National Communication to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). He is actively engaged and contributed in developing Maldives Climate Change Policy Framework, which will form the base of Climate Change agenda in the Maldives.

In addition to this, Mr. Husny is Environmental Consultant who has co-authored number of Environmental Impact Assessment and other Environmental Reports.
