Mr. Peniamina Leavai is the Adaptation Planning Officer, Climate Change Division of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme, based in Apia Samoa. He manages the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change project (2009-2015) involving 14 Pacific Island Countries and Territories. Mr. Leavai holds more than 10 years experience on climate change adaptation and mitigation projects and programs with UNDP, Government of Australia and Government of Samoa. Ben holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management & Sustainable Development from UNEP-IESD Tongji University Shanghai China, and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science & Geography from University of the South Pacific. Peniamina is a 2014 certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, a Gender & Climate Change Trainer, ecosystem and community-based adaptation specialist for small islands.
