Presently, I am working as a Water Resources Management Specialist at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center, leveraging over a decade of expertise in formulating and executing strategies to effectively oversee water resources amid the dynamic backdrop of a changing climate. At present, I hold the role of thematic leader for the Water Sector within a climate adaptation and resilience initiative in South Asia, supported by the World Bank.
Throughout my career, I have adeptly guided and overseen projects centered around climate change adaptation within the realms of water and agriculture. This endeavor facilitated fruitful collaborations between institutions in India and the United Kingdom.
I have worked on a number of flagship programs of the Indian Space Research Organization and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India on land and water resources management as well as disaster management in India. I have published a number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals. My academic journey encompasses a Master’s degree in Applied Geological Sciences from Jadavpur University, India, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, UK.
