3.2.2 Conflict-sensitive NAPs: Integrating conflict considerations in NAPs and vulnerability assessments (NAP Global Network)

This session will focus on how to integrate conflict considerations into the design and execution of the process to formulate and implement NAPs, including in climate vulnerability assessments. It will draw on developing country experiences of designing a NAP process within a fragile context, as well as on guidance developed by IISD/NAP Global Network on aligning adaptation planning and peacebuilding agendas. The session will highlight some of the key challenges and opportunities associated with conflict-sensitive adaptation, particularly though not exclusively in conflict-affected contexts. In doing so, it will aim to explore how the NAP process offers an opportunity to rethink and transform adaptation action in peacebuilding contexts.

Organizer: NAP Global Network.
