Fredrick K. Manyika is a Principal Management Officer working in the Vice President’s Office in Tanzania.  He has worked on climate change adaptation and mitigation policy issues, including negotiations under UNFCCC for the past 14 years.  He was involved in the preparation of the National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA) and Second National Communication (Vulnerability and Adaptation assessment) for Tanzania. He is also currently involved in the National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and Low Emission Strategy development processes in Tanzania.

He currently serves as a member of the Least Developed Country Expert Group (LEG) since 2010 as well as one of the members of the Consultative Group of Expert (CGE) representing LDCs since this year.

Fredrick Manyika has much interests and  also been involved in issues related to Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation plus conservation of Carbon stocks and enhancement of carbon stocks (REDD+) at both national and international levels.
