Dr. Allison Lassiter is an assistant professor in City and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches courses on water policy, sustainable cities, and smart cities. Her research focuses on adapting vulnerable urban water systems to climate change. She has published articles investigating how sea level rise and increasing salinity will impact coastal water systems, on smart water technologies, and on monitoring and evaluating green infrastructure programs. She edited a book, Sustainable Water: Challenges and Solutions in California (UC Press). Her work is supported through the National Science Foundation, UN GEO-Microsoft Planetary Computer Credits Program, and others.
