My professional activity is focused on capacity building at local, subnational and national level for the promotion and implementation of adaptation strategies to climate change, with the approach of ecosystem-based adaptation that involves the use of ecosystem goods and services as part of strategies to address adverse effects of climate change at territorial scale, considering multiple aspects related to risk management, vulnerability and opportunities. I work as consultant to the Climate Change Division of the Ministry of Territorial Planning Housing and Environment of Uruguay, linked to activities related to ecosystem restoration and management strategy risk and adaptation to climate change and in close coordination with other institutions of subnational level and civil society organizations. These actions have reached various contexts across the country in coastal zones, rural areas as well as urban and peri-urban situations
