Beth Lavender has worked on climate change adaptation issues both domestically and internationally since 1994, and is currently the Senior Policy Manager with the Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Division at Natural Resource Canada (NRCan). Beth has authored chapters in national-scale assessments of impacts and led adaptation negotiations for Canada under the UNFCCC. She is also a member of the UNFCCC Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG). Since 2014, Beth has taken on co-chairing responsibilities at UNFCCC negotiations, including Adaptation Communications under the Ad-Hoc Working Group on the Paris Agreement (APA); the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage associated with Climate Change Impacts; and the Nairobi Work Programme on vulnerability, impacts and adaptation.
