MINAE to host the regional workshop on NAP for Latin America and the Caribbean

The Ministry of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica will host the first ever NAP regional training workshop for the Latin America and the Caribbean from 4 to 7 September in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The workshop is the fourth in a series of workshops being conducted by the LDC Expert Group and the NAP Technical Working Group. It is designed to assist developing countries in the region to advance the formulation and implementation of NAPs through latest tools and guidance from the LEG taking into account latest developments under the UNFCCC and other relevant processes.

The workshop will be attended by the Green Climate Fund and the Global Environment Facility and agencies as well as partner organizations such as Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Environment Programme, World Health Organization, World Meteorological Organization and regional centres and network such as the NAP Global Network and Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.
