Someone who has a $20 copay would probably schedule the appointment and let the insurance company pay maybe $60.00 (whatever the scheduled price is of such a visit). Someone with a high deductible like me will make other decisions, such as what I’m doing which is scheduling my physical a month earlier than what I would otherwise do.Because I’m making decisions based on the cost of something, I’m not over-utilizing medical services in the way that people with insurance do.
