Muhammad Semambo’s areas of expertise include climate change adaptation with specialty in monitoring and evaluation of climate change adaptation strategies formulation and implementation, data analysis, climate change vulnerability assessment, biodiversity and ecological engineering, biodiversity conservation and desert control mechanism, disaster risk reduction and management (DRR&DRM), GIS application in natural resources management and a trainer in mainstreaming of climate change in sector plans and budgets.
Currently, he performs the coordination role and monitoring of the implementation of National Adaptation Programmes/projects and also provides technical support to the development of national adaptation climate change strategies into sectoral policies such as agricultural, primary education curricula for Uganda and in Uganda’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan(NBSAPs) 2015-2025.
