Marilou Drilon is Plan International Australia’s adviser in climate resilience and food security. With 25 years’ experience in international development she has led numerous climate resilience and environmental programs; managed technical assistance and loans in Asia and the Pacific with the Asian Development Bank in partnerships with the Global Environment Facility, the Climate Investment Fund, bilateral donors, participating governments, and NGOs such as WWF, The Nature Conservancy and Conservation International. Her recent work with Plan International focus on investments in child-centred climate resilience, disaster preparedness; and inclusive approaches to engaging children and the youth in vulnerability assessments and analysis of local hazards, adaptation planning, developing solutions, budgeting, implementation and advocacy for consideration of vulnerable groups in actions plans.
