Abias Huongo

Abias Huongo is a Director General of the National Institute for Biodiversity and Protected Areas of the government of Angola.

He has led the national climate change policy planning and implementation, as has also coordinated the development of Angola’s National Adaptation Programme of Action and national communications.

He is currently serving as the Chair of the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). He holds a Masters’ degree in Environmental Governance.
